This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the responsible government office for those actions.

Choose the Office That Holds the Record

For local custody and release records, contact the Terrell County Sheriff's Office at 432-345-2525 or thad.cleveland@co.terrell.tx.us. The county courthouse is at 105 E. Hackberry Street, Sanderson, TX 79848. The research found no published sheriff office hours or local records fee schedule, so confirm both before visiting or submitting a request.

For Terrell County court files, District and County Clerk Brittany Rivera is at P.O. Box 410, 105 East Hackberry, Sanderson, TX 79848; telephone 432-345-2391; fax 432-345-2740. The County Clerk page lists brivera@co.terrell.tx.us, while the District Clerk page displays raeline@co.terrell.tx.us. Confirm the correct address by telephone. The County Clerk page lists $10 for manual searches requiring staff time and $1 per page under Local Government Code §118.011(b)(2); ask whether those charges apply to the requested criminal record.

Use the route that fits the question:

  • For a released person or county release record, the home page gives the complete search and written-request sequence.
  • For state release supervision or court-ordered community supervision, use Probation & Parole.
  • For a same-day county interval, use Jail Releases: 24 Hours.
  • For a calculated date or custody alert, use Projected Release or VINELink Inmate Search.
  • For a specific custodian, select the matching county, state, federal, or ICE facility page in the footer.

For a state prisoner, TDCJ lists weekday information hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. General inmate information is available at 936-295-6371 or 800-535-0283. BPP pre-vote status uses 844-512-0461, while post-favorable-vote release processing uses 512-406-5202. TDCJ's email route is pia@tdcj.texas.gov and asks for a full name plus TDCJ number, or exact date of birth, approximate age, and conviction county when the number is unknown.

Terrell County maps to the Monahans District Parole Office, Region V, 401 South Allen Avenue, Monahans, TX 79756; telephone 432-943-7254; fax 432-943-7397. That county mapping is not proof of a person's assignment. Confirm with TDCJ before directing anyone to appear. Federal sentenced-prisoner questions belong with BOP, while a documented immigration transfer belongs with ICE.

The Sheriff and Tax Assessor-Collector Title

The official county page identifies Thaddeus C. Cleveland as “Sheriff/Tax Assessor-Collector.” That combined elected title can make the directory entry look unrelated to custody records, but it is the correct Terrell County sheriff contact. Use the direct sheriff number, 432-345-2525, for jail custody and release-record questions rather than the courthouse general number.

The tax portion of the title does not change which office created a jail release or transfer entry. A requester should still describe the exact booking, date range, and record sought. Court disposition records remain with the District and County Clerk, and a receiving agency controls records after transfer.
